Vacation Bible School 2008

     On July 14-18, we had a great time of Vacation Bible School. Kids ages 4 through teen spent time making crafts, singing songs, and enjoying refreshments and activities. However, most-importantly the kids learned about God. The Bible lessons centered around the life of the Apostle Paul. Paul accepted Jesus as his personal Savior and lived his life for God. This is God's plan for every person. During VBS, we encouraged the kids to do what God wants them to do as they live their lives.

     The 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China were part of the inspiration of our VBS theme "The Good News Games."  The Olympics are a time when the world comes together to compete in sporting events against one another.  However, there are much more important things than these.  The Good News Games helped kids and adults see the importance of spiritual things. 

     During the week, we received an offering to help build a meeting building for a mission work in Mexico.  Bro. Heron Rivera Flores and his family preach and teach the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the area of Tempoal, Veracruz, Mexico.  The kids gave over $375 during the week, and 100% of the VBS offering they gave went toward this project.  Praise the Lord!
